I thought I would do something fun since I have been into Indian films lately, how about I do recap of my life through the lens of the Indian films I have been watching on Stalife TV that you can watch on DSTV CH 167 | #GoTV CH 23 | #StarTimes DTTCH 500 DTHCH 550 | #AzamTV CH 163

Evil Eye Film

This film's storyline is that of a perfect romantic story that turns into a nightmare when a woman becomes convinced that her daughter's new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past. The boyfriend even tries to come between their relationship. I can totally relate to the one time my mum was convinced that the family of the guy I was dating at one point in my life practiced witchcraft. She even made it a point for me to understand that the reason things were a miss in my life was because of that said relationship at the time. The only difference here was that no man has ever come between me and my mum’s relationship thankfully. Let’s just say all that is behind us and I am happily married.

Sacred Relationships

This film's storyline is that of two people who are trying to find each other, Mishti and Abir the main characters eventually get married but realize that Mishti can’t conceive and they use Kuhu as a surrogate for their child. I have been in a situation where I once had started considering surrogacy or adoption which thanks to God’s intervention I finally conceived naturally. It takes me back to a very dark time in my life but also leaves me feeling very, very grateful. My son is really my answered prayer.

Strange Love

This film's storyline shows how Aastha is married by Shlok out of sheer revenge without her knowledge, a strange love indeed because later on Aastha finds out the truth and tries to help Shlok heal from his past relationship that made him so vindictive. They later on fall in love again, this time a true love. I have heard a series of interesting romantic relationships and this type of scenario is quite relatable. I have dated a guy once who was so blinded by his past hurt in his previous relationship that he didn’t believe I could or any other woman would be different from the last. So I ended up facing a lot of rejection from him because of that.. Your turn, what film on Starlife TV can you relate a part of your life to?
